ONLINE AUCTION ENDING TIMES (STAGGERED & SOFT CLOSE): All online only auctions are timed events that have an auto-extend feature known as a soft close. Any bid placed within 2 minutes of the auction ending will automatically extend the auction for 2 minutes from the time the bid is placed. Example: If an auction scheduled to end at 1:00 p.m. receives a bid at 12:59 p.m., the close time of the auction automatically extends to 1:01 p.m. The auto-extend feature remains active until no further bids are received within the 2 minute time frame. In addition, lots will be staggered, meaning each lot will close on its own interval. This staggered lot closing along with a soft close/auto-extend feature allows bidders a chance to place bids without someone coming in and trying to beat the fall of the hammer at the last second.
